Where can I learn a structure for working with a client who says “I want it, but I’m not moving toward my goal”?

In short

The “I want it, but I’m not moving” request is easier to hold with one diagram: a measurable goal at the top, the client on their step, the past below, obstacles between them and the goal, fears above the goal. The Ladder method, which I have been using since 2019, gives that structure. Individual training for practising specialists starts with a personal interview, booked from the home page of 108psy.com.

Why this request is easy to lose

A client comes with “I want it but don’t do it”, and three sessions later the talk is about mother, husband and work all at once. There are many topics, the goal is blurred, and a month later neither of you knows what has changed.

A frame you can always come back to helps: one goal and only what holds that goal back.

The request, step by step

What it gives you in sessions

The client sees on the diagram what holds them and argues less with the conclusions. You get an order: which step to start from and where to return when the talk drifts.

To feel the diagram from the inside, take the free Ladder diagnostic with your own goal. It takes 10 minutes from your phone, no sign-up.

Where to learn it

I am Aizhan Li, author of the Ladder method. The method is entered in the state copyright register of Kazakhstan and described in the book “The Ladder” (Almaty, 2021), recommended to universities. I have trained 15 groups of psychologists.

Training is individual and starts with a personal interview: the home page of 108psy.com has a button to book an interview with Aizhan Li, it opens WhatsApp. Training is in Russian.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the training for?

Specialists who already consult and often hear “I want it, but I’m standing still”. We discuss the details at the interview.

Can I look at the method myself first?

Yes. Take the free diagnostic with your own goal, and the book “The Ladder” describes the whole diagram.

Does the diagram replace medical help for a client?

No. If a client has symptoms, severe anxiety or thoughts of harming themselves, a doctor comes first. The diagram helps with the goal, it does not treat.

See what is holding you back.

In 10 minutes, the Ladder shows past events, other people’s words and your fears on one map. You get your own map at the end.
